Tucked away in a sun-drenched fold of the Southern Corbieres hills, on the border of the Aude and Pyrenees-Orientales departments, lies the picture postcard, medieval wine producing village of Paziols. The perfect base to experience life in an authentic French village and to explore this beautiful, unspoilt corner of South West France.The area is famous for its spectacular scenery, mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine per year, empty roads, clean rivers, waterfalls and gorges, historic Cathar castles, endless vineyards and of course delicious Fitou and Corbieres wines.

Paziols is within easy reach of Perpignan ( 35 mins ) Carcassonne, Girona and even Toulouse airports, most served by Ryanair and other low-cost airlines, so getting here couldn't be easier. Paziols is close to the Spanish border, Mediterranean beaches and Pyrenean ski resorts making it an all year round holiday destination. The village is small, with a population of around 550, but has all you need within a short walk of the gites; a shop selling groceries, daily fresh bread and croissants, a first class restaurant and bar/cafe. There are also tennis courts, boules area and children's playground.

Paziols Rentals is a collection of three quaint cottages dating back to the early 1600s, specially selected for their character, charm and location. They are named after one of the three grape varieties - Carignan, Grenache and Syrah that are expertly blended together to make the famous appellation Fitou wine. Each cottage has been renovated to a high standard and contains all the 20th century comforts you would expect to find including flat screen TVs, stereo CD systems and wi-fi internet access. Le Grenache and Le Carignan have roof terraces with terrific views, Le Syrah has a private, walled courtyard more apppropriate for young children.
